Privacy policy

Seminal AI is a static website. There is no account to create, no login, and no user profile. This policy describes what happens to data when you visit.

What the site collects directly

Nothing. The site collects no personal data of its own. It has no user database, no sign-up, no newsletter list built from your visit, and no server-side code that records who you are or what you looked at.

Data stored in your browser

The site stores a theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's local storage so the setting persists between visits. This value stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it contains nothing that identifies you. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Search

Search runs entirely in your browser. When you use it, your browser downloads a search index file from this same domain and matches your query against it locally. Your search terms are not sent to a server, not logged, and not seen by us. Nobody knows what you searched for.

Hosting and request logs

The site is served through a content delivery network. Like any web host, the CDN processes standard request data in order to deliver pages and to protect the service — including your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, your user agent string, and referrer. This processing is performed by the CDN provider under its own privacy terms and retention periods. We use it to serve the site; we do not use it to build profiles of individual readers.

Advertising and analytics

If third-party advertising or analytics is enabled on a page, those providers may set cookies or use similar technologies, and may collect data about your visit for their own purposes. Any such collection is governed by that provider's privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive or store the personal data those providers collect. Browser controls, ad-blocking extensions and platform-level tracking settings all apply normally on this site.

Outbound links

This site links extensively to vendor documentation, pricing pages and third-party services. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, subject to their privacy policy and their tracking. Some outbound links are affiliate links, which are marked as such; see the disclosure page.

The submission form

If you use the submission or correction form, the information you type into it — including any name and email address you provide — is transmitted to and stored by a third-party form provider, which processes it on our behalf under its own terms. We receive what you submit and use it only to evaluate the submission or correction and, where you asked for a reply, to respond. We do not add form submissions to a marketing list.

This site is a technical reference and is not directed at children.

If you have asked a question about your data, or want information you sent us removed, say so and we will act on it. Because the site holds no account data, in most cases there is nothing to remove beyond correspondence and form submissions.

We aim to handle data honestly and to collect as little of it as possible. We do not claim certification under GDPR, CCPA or any other regime, and nothing here should be read as a legal guarantee of compliance with a particular statute.
